Portrait II

Oh how i long
for my hair to grow flowers
to walk around with a crown made of stars
and leave traces of fire fly glow every where i walk

i want smiles and rosy cheeks dabbed in the sun’s kisses
where tiny dots like the milky way make their way across my nose bridge

did you know beneath the arch of my eyebrows are gateways?
did you know in the dip of my cupids bow, lies the shadow of a thief who takes
my breath far far away?

fingers
bend at crossing shadows
overbearing unkept words
misleading sentences
lies.

and they blanket my spring in grey
walls splattered in profanity
gateways restricted by demolished arches and signs of warning

a warning..
do not pursue any further beyond the desperation of your need over mine

these golden gates shiver in lightening
and are currently
closed
